Ben Aknoun Park is a park located in the southwest of Algiers, Algeria in the neighborhood Said Hamdine. It is located between Ben Aknoun and Hydra. It opened its doors
in 1982.
The
park is divided into two areas and includes a zoo and amusement park. Its area is 304 hectares,
situated in the open urban center, it is divided into several areas, 50 hectares dedicated to attractions (rides 20 ha) and
relaxation areas, 40 hectares animals, 200 hectares of
forest, 2 hotels gold mouflon
and the residence Moncada, many shops and eateries owned by individuals, and several acres of undeveloped
land. Means of transport were available to visitors: tourist train and
2 aerial cable cars. . However, "the equipment fell into disrepair, one after the other
without ever being replaced.
